Beity carries itself more like a place of hospitality than a place of display. In Fulton Market, the Lebanese restaurant takes its name from the Arabic for “my home,” and that sense of welcome seems to shape the experience as much as the food or cocktails. A seat at the bar offers a more casual way into the room, with thoughtful drinks that draw on Lebanese flavors and spirits rather than treating the cocktail list as an afterthought.
There is depth here, but also generosity. Family style eating, seasonality, and chef Ryan Fakih’s connection to his Lebanese roots give the place a stronger emotional center than many polished West Loop openings. Even in bar form, Beity sounds like somewhere designed to gather people, not just impress them.
