Scratch

A good neighborhood bar is hard to fake, and this one gets the balance right. Scratch brings serious cocktail know how to Lavapiés without losing the easy, informal feel that suits the street around it. Drinks are a clear reason to come, with a creative list alongside well chosen classics, but the place never feels stiff or overly polished. Good music and a compact, sociable room give it real character. It is the kind of spot that works equally well for one careful drink or a long evening that unfolds naturally.
