Cindy’s succeeds because the view is only half the story. Perched above the Chicago Athletic Association with sweeping sightlines over Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, it could easily have coasted on location alone. Instead, the glass atrium, year round terrace, and broad food and beverage program give it the feel of a complete rooftop destination rather than a bar people visit once for the skyline. The mood is more social and expansive than intimate, but that is the point.
