Whisky made in Japan. The JSLMA industry standard, introduced in 2021 and fully effective for its members from April 2024, requires Japanese Whisky to be mashed, fermented and distilled in Japan, matured there at least three years in wooden casks up to 700 liters, and bottled in Japan at 40% alcohol or more.
